Kids: "Dylan is where I feel safe." "Dylan helps me with my scared worries." "Dylan is FUN." Parents/adults: Soothing, playful, authentic, warm.
My approach is client-centered, and relational, and transformative. Relational neuroscience, mindfulness and authenticity and therapeutic play provide a powerful and empowering healing process for your child, you and families.
We will see behaviors and emotions shift quickly and gently. I help children and adults have more capacity to hold a wider range of emotions, integrating past events, growing confidence, and helping parents understand their children with more depth.
..are ready to invest in themselves and genuinely wanting change, are committed to their growth, and to their child's growth and healing. Often in a short as 16 sessions, your child will have overcome big challenges, spikey behaviors will soften.
I have always been an advocate for kids. I was drawn to do my own healing and therapy work, and as I did, fell in love with the healing process.
It is a funky old Victorian house-turned-office building and my peaceful, tranquil playroom is inside. The yard and gardens often have deer visitors!
I am dedicated to children and families, and helping you recover from your own complicated childhood, and children to heal from the events affecting them. I continue to grow as a clinician, level up my skills and training, since 2003.
